I help clients navigate difficult transitions and figure out where they want to go next in life; I help them take positive steps to achieve significant goals; and I help clients clarify their priorities and aspirations so they can make lasting changes for a happier, successful life.
This page generally describes the steps of my transition coaching process. However, since every client is different, every coaching engagement is also unique. We will work together to create a coaching program that suits who you are and what you want to achieve. These plans are designed to accomplish your transition quickly and clients can often achieve success in as few as 4 to 6 sessions.
First, we will spend some time clarifying where you want to be in the next stage of your life, whether it is dealing with a transition for you and/or your kids after a divorce or trying to find a more fulfilling job or defining your priorities and figuring out why you are dissatisfied with your current life. We will examine your values and priorities. We will also determine what obstacles may be present and how we can overcome them. This phase in coaching is an enlightening experience that typically reveals new insights, expanded options and helps us develop a strategy on how we can work together to accomplish your goals.
Next, we will determine how you can best use your strengths and resources to get to where you want to go. During this phase, we will likely discover untapped skills and options that you may not have realized are available to you. You will also gain a greater appreciation of everything that you have open to you to help us achieve your objectives.
Finally, we will develop and implement a plan to accomplish your objectives. We will decide what practical steps we need to take, eliminate any concrete or emotional issues standing in your way and then set you in the right direction to achieve the most important aspirations of your life.
My transition and life coaching practice draws on my professional experience, my education as well as my life experience as a suddenly single mom with two young children. My life coaching approach is rooted in positive psychology and focuses on helping you take practical steps to achieve your life and career goals.
